Recreation in the Krupp forest

Idyllically situated in a clearing in the Krupp forest: the Zur Kluse restaurant. Less than two years after a fire destroyed the listed 18th century half-timbered gem, owner Matthias Knutzen celebrated its reopening in 2011. Since then, the restaurant's own parking lot has regularly been packed. Nevertheless, you can usually find a seat in the two-level dining room or, when the weather is nice, in the tastefully designed beer garden.

Relaxed atmosphere

The beer garden at the Zur Kluse restaurant is a wonderful place to enjoy the day outside. The patron, a real garden lover, has put a lot of heart and soul into the outdoor area. The beer garden is located under large, old chestnut trees, which provide pleasant shade in summer. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, perfect for socializing with friends or family. The beer garden not only serves refreshing drinks, but also hearty snacks and traditional beer garden dishes. A changing seasonal menu rounds off the menu

Peace and quiet in nature

On sunny days, you can enjoy the tranquillity of nature a few minutes' walk from Baldeneysee and let your gaze wander over the greenery. The beer garden is open in good weather and can accommodate many guests. A relaxed place to relax after a walk along the Baldeneyseethe Villa Hügel or the city forest and enjoy the fresh air. Cyclists and horse riders have also been catered for. There is a large bicycle parking lot next to the beer garden and a pole for tying up horses.

Getting married in the Klusen Chapel

Weddings find a special place to get married in the small Klusen chapel. However, the Kluse is not only the perfect place for celebrations, but also for a short break. Chilled drinks and freshly prepared German cuisine will quickly revive your spirits. In the middle of nature between the city forest and Bredeney, everyday life quickly fades into the background and relaxation and recuperation set in with the first sip at the latest.

Special charm

Where dark wood used to dominate the Kluse's dining room, wood - a few shades lighter - has now been used following extensive renovation work. This, the use of new lighting and the placement of some high tables opposite the bar have made the ambience appear young and modern. Changing artists provide variety in the design of the walls. At the same time, the Zur Kluse restaurant near Baldeneysee has retained its historic and special charm.

The "Wiener Schnitzel". Served with roasted capers, it tastes particularly aromatic.
