„Kettwiger Stausee“ is the boat landing stage of the White Fleet Baldeney, which is also called „pier Kettwig“The landing stage is well-known. It is located near the Kettwig lock. The banks of the Ruhr River at this point are lined with the former production halls of the Scheidt cloth factory, which have since been converted into living space or are partially preserved in fragments and date back to 1837. For a long time, they formed the economic center of what is now the Essen district of Kettwig.
