The pier „"Heisingen" is named after the Essen district of the same name. Public transport bus lines 145 and 153 stop near the "Heisingen" boat landing. The landing was renovated in 2016 and integrated into a "lake park." Further east is the... Bird sanctuary „"Heisinger Aue" with a considerable cormorant population and the "Spieck", which was artificially created at the time, is now a fishery breeding pond and a mecca for (aquatic) plants and animals; even water turtles feel right at home here and can be observed sunbathing.
