Heisingen jetty

The "Heisingen" landing stage is named after the Essen district of the same name, Heisingen. Local public transport bus lines 145 and 153 stop not far from the "Heisingen" jetty. The jetty was renovated in 2016 and embedded in a so-called "See-Park". Further to the east is the "Heisinger Aue" bird sanctuary with a considerable cormorant population and the "Spieck", which was artificially created at the time and is now a breeding pool for fishermen and a mecca for (aquatic) plants and animals; even turtles feel right at home here and can be seen sunbathing.
