Südtiroler Stuben on Baldeneysee

“Brotzeitbrettl, Leberknödelsuppe, Weißwürstl – no, we are not in Bavaria, but at the Baldeneysee. The Südtiroler Stuben As the name suggests, they are dedicated to Alpine cuisine, and there's a good reason for that. The Pichler family, owners of the restaurant, originally come from South Tyrol. Catrin and Roman are the second generation to run the establishment, having taken over the role of hosts from their parents. The dining room and the spacious terrace were recently extensively renovated and are enjoying increasing popularity.

Drinks and dishes

Two counters, two enormous fully automatic coffee machines, a hot chocolate machine, and a large cake counter hint at the enormous workload on a beautiful summer day. The regular customers, mostly over 60, are increasingly joined by younger people and families. Some drink a freshly tapped pilsner, others order a light snack like white sausages with a pretzel, or, for a heartier appetite, a South Tyrolean platter of cold cuts (for two or more people).

Dumplings and Kaiserschmarren

A great way to sample the five different dumplings is the South Tyrolean dumpling platter for two. If you've already found your favorite, you can also order spinach, cheese, tomato, beetroot, and wild mushroom dumplings individually. Aside from that, the menu reads rather classically, suggesting you can't go wrong with your order. Fresh dishes round out the selection. And let's not forget the Kaiserschmarren with plum compote, which is always freshly prepared and, due to its approximately half-hour preparation time, should be ordered well in advance.

Directly on the lakefront

The Südtiroler Stuben boasts a prime lakeside location and a wide selection of food and drinks at excellent value. Equally impressive are the friendly restroom attendant and the well-maintained restrooms – the secret "calling card" of any establishment. The cozy atmosphere is further enhanced by the lovingly decorated rooms and the typical Alpine style, characterized by wooden furniture, warm colors, and traditional decorations. Even in winter, right up until Christmas, when candles create a warm and inviting ambiance, the hotel offers a welcoming atmosphere. restaurant a popular meeting place for locals and tourists alike.

Banquets at Baldeneysee

Another highlight is a seasonally changing daily menu that takes guests on a culinary journey through South Tyrolean culture. This popular destination is known for its terraced landscape. Beer garden, which offers a view of the Baldeneysee from almost every seat. Holiday apartments under the roof and separate event rooms of varying sizes make banquets with different numbers of guests possible. The parlors are particularly popular for weddings, company anniversaries, and Christmas parties.
