Sorelli's in Essen-Werden
At Sorelli's At Essen Werden, in addition to frozen yogurt, ice cream, and sorbet, you'll find homemade pastries and salads. All food and drinks can be taken away or eaten on-site. Besides a few wooden tables, chairs, and armchairs in the ice cream parlor, a staircase leads to the adjacent ice cream garden. Sorelli's operates on a self-service basis. Small, black trays are used to conveniently transport ice cream, cookies, and other treats to your table, and then simply place them in the serving hatch leading to the ice cream kitchen.
In the adjacent "ice cream lab," fruit is cut and all ingredients for the ice cream creations are weighed by hand, according to the company's philosophy. No premixes or flavor pastes from packets or cans are used, explains Managing Director Gino Cassaro. Everything is homemade from high-quality ingredients, including organic eggs and real vanilla. With this concept, Sorelli's has already attracted a large number of ice cream lovers since its opening in August 2012. Payment is always cash only, so remember to bring enough cash for your next visit.
