SMAG Sundance 2026 at Baldeneysee: Full lineup and timetable

Essen, 1968, July 06, 2026. The SMAG Sundance The Open Air Festival 2026 at Baldeneysee in the south of Essen is imminent and is causing great anticipation among many festival fans. On Saturday, July 11th, the Seaside Beach in one of Germany's most exceptional festival locations, which scores with a special mix of electronic music, beach atmosphere, sunset, and summer feeling. After intensive preparations, the festival grounds are already visibly taking shape. Baldeneysee.Ruhr is releasing the complete lineup for both stages with headliners David Puentez and Alle Farben. A very special innovation at SMAG Sundance 2026 will be the new stage concept of the so-called 2nd Stage. For the first time, this stage will be designed with a view to the Baldeneysee built, which opens up a whole new perspective for festival-goers. While this second stage with its established cult lineup provides the right sound, visitors can simultaneously enjoy the unobstructed view of the water. This orientation intensifies the beach feeling and underscores the unique character of the festival, making it far more than just a place for electronic music.

Musically, the SMAG Sundance presents itself as extremely diverse. The main stage is led by the two top DJs David Puentez and Alle Farben, who are among the most successful artists in the German electronic music scene. Kicking things off is DJ SHAHP, who recently won the DJ newcomer contest, bringing fresh energy to the lineup. Another highlight is the Dutch live act Jebroer, known for his energetic performances and direct audience interaction. His set promises atmospheric moments – with sing-alongs and a party atmosphere for a lively festival vibe.

But the SMAG Sundance offers much more than just a music event. Between beach sections, the picturesque lake promenade, and versatile activity areas, visitors can expect a wide range of entertainment highlights. These include interactive activities, relaxing retreats, a sports course, and live tattooing. A very special experience is also the GOP cold-air balloon, which offers an impressive view over the entire festival grounds.
