View of the Baldeneysee
Behind or in front of well-maintained clay courts with a view of the Center Court and nestled in the lush greenery at Baldeneysee, a small culinary oasis unfolds in the ETUF tennis club's clubhouse: Noah's. It is different from a typical restaurant – a clubhouse, a bistro, a place to meet, linger and enjoy nature. Here, in a historic setting, sporting spirit and convivial gatherings merge seamlessly.
Lunch and dinner
At Noah's, sunbeams dance on the glasses that frame the summer terrace, while inside, the aroma of freshly toasted bread mingles with Mediterranean herbs. The cuisine? A charming blend of regional ingredients, seasonal creativity, and Mediterranean flair. Whether it's lunch after a match or a relaxed dinner at sunset, the menu offers cold and hot appetizers, salads, pizza, pasta, and meat or fish dishes.
Tennis at Baldeneysee
The history of the ETUF Tennis House is closely linked to the development of tennis in Essen – and it begins as early as the 19th century. Back then – it is said to have been 1893 – [the sport] was discovered. Alfred Krupp Lawn tennis in England and built the first tennis court behind the hotel Essen Hof. The ETUF tennis section was founded in 1900, and after several temporary facilities, a barracks with showers was built, followed finally in 1935 by the ETUF Tennis House. It overlooks the complex and borders the banks of the ITP125T. From here, there is an excellent view of the tennis facility, which includes 17 outdoor courts, a three-court indoor hall, and a two-court inflatable dome. The center court, like the Tennis House, was modernized in 2025 in preparation for hosting the FISU World University Games 2025 tournament in July. The complex is complemented by its newest addition: a padel tennis court.
Team from the boathouse
Noah's at the ETUF tennis club has been run by the team around Senger Sahdalla since May 2025, who have already been involved in the boathouse is also known for its Mediterranean atmosphere and location overlooking the Baldeneysee are certainly particularly worth mentioning – a truly „dream view“ of water and sailboats.

Tennis outfit and evening wear
The atmosphere at Noah's is both stylish and relaxed: wood, glass, clean lines, warm tones – a design that exudes naturalness. Guests appreciate not only the location but also the warmth of the team, who serve guests dressed in everything from tennis attire to evening wear, ensuring no one feels out of place. Noah's is a meeting place, an oasis of calm within the sporty environment of the ETUF complex.
Our conclusion
Those who stop here will find far more than just a meal – they'll discover a place where time seems to slow down. And while the balls fly over the net on the clay courts next to the recently renovated center court, Noah's serves cool refreshments and tasty snacks.
