Lujo on Baldeneysee

"Lujo Seecafé & Restaurant am Baldeneysee" is what the owners call their café and restaurant, which replaced the "Steg 3" restaurant in 2020. Lujo is located on the second floor of the Essen-Werdener Ruder-Club von 1896 e.V. and can be reached via a steel staircase. Next to the dining room is the sun terrace facing Baldeneysee , which offers guests a box seat for sunsets in summer.

Varied menu

The menu is varied and offers soups, salads and starters as well as snacks to pick and dip. Main courses include fish and meat dishes as well as pasta dishes. Desserts and a selection of cakes round off the culinary offering at Lujo. "Let our recipes from the fresh Mediterranean cuisine take you on a culinary journey to the Mediterranean," is the credo of the Lujo owners.

Box seat for sunsets

In fact, it is advisable to reserve a table on the terrace on a nice summer's day if you really want to sit outside. The service remains friendly even when it gets crowded and is happy to fulfill special requests. Even if you just want a drink, you will be greeted and served in a friendly manner - that was our experience at Lujo.

Parties, celebrations and corporate events

The Seecafé & Restaurant also offers the opportunity to hold celebrations such as birthdays or weddings directly on Baldeneysee . The stylish rooms and the terrace with a view of Baldeneysee create a special atmosphere. Individual buffets or plated meals can be arranged on request. Especially for celebrations in the summer months, we recommend booking early and coordinating details with the team.

Refreshing oasis

The location directly on the water, nestled in almost untouched nature, recommends the Lujo as a refreshing oasis in midsummer temperatures. For those who have something to celebrate, the operators offer buffets or plated meals by arrangement. Guests should have no problems climbing stairs, as this is the only way to reach the Lujo - as is well known on this side.

The sun sets directly opposite the terrace - make sure you book in advance if the temperatures are high in summer.
