Lieblingsbude

Lieblingsbude is a kiosk at Baldeneysee near Haus Scheppen and part of the motorcycle meeting place at Haus Scheppen, also known as Biker Treff Haus Scheppen. The Lieblingsbude is located almost directly on the edge of the road, the Hardenbergufer, between the Essen districts of Kupferdreh and Werden and is therefore part of the Fischlaken district.

In addition to Klümpchen (Ruhr area German for sweets) and cold drinks, cakes and snack classics such as Pommes Currywurst are available at the Lieblingsbude counter. Self-service is the order of the day here. You dine in style at wooden tables and benches, which you share with other guests at Lieblingsbude . As is typical of the Ruhr region, contacts are quickly made. The beer garden at Lieblingsbude offers an excellent view of the hustle and bustle at the Biker Treff. Some are coming, others are riding, cyclists and inline skaters are passing by.

To the right of the Lieblingsbude hangs a large board for all kinds of notices: Motorcycle offers and requests of course, vacation apartments, escaped animals. The historic Haus Scheppen is located opposite the Lieblingsbude and so is the Haus Scheppen harbor. Visitors to the campsite can stock up on refreshments at the Lieblingsbude , as the path to the Baldeneysee camping park leads right past here.

There is a public parking lot on the street Pörtingsiepen just before the Lieblingsbude and a second parking lot above the Lieblingsbude. It is advisable to use these and walk the last few meters, as the few parking spaces directly in front of Haus Scheppen are usually already occupied and turning is sometimes risky due to the large number of motorcycles, bicycles and inline skaters.
