While winter is best spent indoors – in the cozy timber-framed section or the bright conservatory – guests love the restaurant terrace and beer garden in summer. A special treat for special occasions: the lakeside terrace. This separate outdoor area can be set up with seating for up to 25 people or offers the perfect spot for aperitifs at larger celebrations.

The unique setting at Baldeneysee, with its romantic herb garden adjacent to Jagdhaus Schellenberg, serves as a popular photo backdrop for weddings and anniversaries. And the staircase at the timber-framed house is ideal for group photos.
Diverse range
The Jagdhaus Schellenberg is divided into two areas: the restaurant and the beer garden. In the beer garden, the only self-service area, guests receive a pager when ordering, which vibrates when their food is ready for collection. The approximately 350 seats are at rustic beer tables and benches. The menu includes dishes such as cake with cream, bratwurst with a roll, and potato and cucumber salad.
Even more outdoor courts
While the adults enjoyed themselves, the children could let off steam in the fenced playground next door. However, due to high demand and the popularity of the beer garden, the playground had to be dismantled to make room for an expansion of the beer garden. This change now allows even more guests to enjoy the outdoors at the same time, while maintaining the family-friendly atmosphere of the hunting lodge.
Beautiful view
The former restaurant "Schöne Aussicht" (Beautiful View) became "Jagdhaus Schellenberg" in 2001. Since then, the ambiance and offerings have been geared towards more sophisticated tastes. The beautiful view of the past remains. The atmosphere in the beer garden is more relaxed.
