Joint project MIDAP in cooperation with UdK Berlin
AI and XR are rapidly advancing and are expected to provide new impetus for artistic education in the digital age. Two of Germany's most prestigious art universities are joining forces in this endeavor: the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK Berlin) and the Folkwang University of the Arts with seat in Essen-Werden at Baldeneysee – are working together on the innovative project: With the launch of the joint project „Multisensory in Dialogue and Artistic Practice (MIDAP)“ in the winter semester 2025/2026, they are setting a strong example for the future of artistic teaching in the digital age.
Funding provided by the Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education
Funded by the Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education (StIL) as part of the "Teaching Architecture" program, MIDAP will advance the development of hybrid, AI-supported, and immersive teaching concepts over four years (2025–2029). The aim is to create new forms of teaching communication that combine academic reflection, augmented reality, and artistic practice.
