New organizer for Pfingst Open Air Essen-Werden 2025

The popular music festival Pfingst Open Air (POA) in Essen-Werden will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2025 – but many wondered whether the event would even take place that year. Until 2024, the festival was organized by the youth welfare office and the rock music association. Now festival fans can breathe a sigh of relief: Indie Radar Ruhr from Oberhausen, led by Maximilian Janetzki, is taking over the organization and securing the long-standing open-air festival for 2025.

The family-friendly music event attracts thousands of visitors annually and will remain free of charge in 2025. However, as in previous years, those arriving late may find themselves locked out, as no further guests will be admitted once the maximum capacity is reached. There is also considerable anticipation surrounding the lineup.
