The Ludgerus Festival in Coesfeld will take place from September 4th to 6th, 2026.

It begins on Friday, September 4th, at 7 p.m. with an ecumenical service in the Basilica of St. Ludgerus and the reliquary's enshrinement.

On Saturday, September 5, 2026, the basilica will be open all day, and prayer will be possible at the shrine.

Sunday, September 6th – 10:00 AM Festival Service
On Sunday, September 6, the highlight follows: a festive service at 10 a.m. with a subsequent festive procession and gathering on the Kirchberg, as well as a solemn vespers with the return of the
Shrine at 6 p.m. with the participation of the Essen Cathedral Choirboys.
