Hazardous waste collection vehicle – dates Essen-Kupferdreh 2nd half of 2026

Hazardous materials should never be disposed of in the regular trash, as they pose a risk to people and the environment. Proper disposal is therefore essential. Please return hazardous materials in their original containers whenever possible to ensure safe handling.

The collection point in Essen-Kupferdreh accepts hazardous waste free of charge and in household quantities.

What are pollutants?

Hazardous substances include all toxic and corrosive materials. These include, among others:

• Batteries (car and small batteries)
• brake fluid
• coolant
• chemicals
• Energy-saving lamps
• fluorescent tubes
• Paints and varnishes
• solvent
• Acids and alkalis
• Household cleaner
• Plant toxins
• Spray cans with residue

Small electrical appliances such as hair dryers, razors, toasters, or drills can be dropped off at the mobile hazardous waste collection point. Motor and transmission oil are only accepted at the recycling center.

Important:
Used brushes, paint rollers, paint grids and empty and dry paint buckets should be disposed of via the grey bin.
