Baldeneysee-Nordufer becomes the sports arena for Germany's best canoe polo teams
From August 13 to 16, 2026, the Baldeneysee will be entirely dedicated to top-level canoe polo. At the 55th German Canoe Polo Championships, the best teams from the premier women's and men's national leagues will meet to compete for the national titles.
Particularly exciting from a regional perspective: With three teams from Essen and two teams from Duisburg, the Ruhr area is strongly represented. Numerous fans and supporters are expected and will ensure a thrilling atmosphere on the north bank of Lake Baldeney.
