Arts and crafts and culinary delights at what is probably the smallest Christmas market at Baldeneysee

The self-proclaimed "smallest Christmas market in the city" will take place on December 13, 2025, at Löwental in Essen-Werden. Located right next to the Essen-Werden S-Bahn station, the chestnut market will launch its fifth edition, full of good cheer and new ideas.

Restaurateur Fenja Fürer from Dolcinella and Dirk Uhlenbrock from Erste Liga are transforming the Dolcinella beer garden into a pre-Christmas quarter full of creativity and culinary delights.

Besides hot chestnuts, French dip sandwiches, and braised ox cheeks, handmade gifts made of paper, porcelain, and wool are among the items on offer. The chestnut market thus provides seven hours of enjoyment, conviviality, and pre-Christmas atmosphere on Saturday at Essen-Werden.
