Special exhibition of the RuhrKunstMuseen: „21 x 21“ on Villa Hügel at Baldeneysee

The impressive Villa Hügel, picturesquely situated above the Baldeneysee, invites you to the opening of the anniversary exhibition “21 x 21. The RuhrArtMuseums on the Hill.” To mark the 15th anniversary of the RuhrArtMuseums network, all 21 museums are presenting highlights from their collections together for the first time. Spread across 700 square meters in ten themed rooms, visitors can expect to see around 100 masterpieces of painting, photography, graphic art, sculpture, and multimedia installations.

From major art movements of the 20th and 21st centuries such as Expressionism, New Objectivity, Fluxus, and the feminist avant-garde to contemporary positions, the exhibition offers a multifaceted journey through art history. The works from various museums are presented here in dialogue for the first time. Let yourself be inspired.
