Winds of History – 21st Classic Rendezvous on German Unity

On October 3, 2025, the Essen Yacht Club (EYC) invites you to the 21st Classic Rendezvous on the Baldeneysee – a stylish gathering of traditional wooden boats as part of the holiday celebrations. Eligible are lovingly preserved or faithfully reconstructed yachts older than 30 years, built using traditional craftsmanship with frames and planking. Modern materials such as Mylar or Kevlar, as well as technical hiking aids, are deliberately excluded to preserve the original character of these boats. The Rendezvous celebrates the elegance and history of traditional boatbuilding and offers an atmospheric sailing experience that combines maritime heritage with sporting passion.
