Boathouse at Baldeneysee

„Café, Lounge, Bistro“ is how the owners describe the gastronomic offerings of the „Bootshaus“ on the first floor of the ETUF eV club and boathouse at the Baldeneysee. The Bootshaus restaurant has been welcoming not only club members but also all other guests since May 2019. Besides the indoor dining area, it is the terraced outdoor seating that makes the Bootshaus at ETUF so special.

After-work beers and a night out with friends

Whether it's an after-work beer, a night out with friends, or a late breakfast with appetizers or desserts on the weekend – the boathouse at ETUF offers a wide range of possibilities. In addition to day visitors, the boathouse operators at ETUF also provide a versatile venue for events. "As a full-service provider, we offer you every conceivable service in the event sector – individually tailored to your needs and all from a single source," their website states.

Drinks and dishes

The drinks menu promises classic soft drinks, beers, (sparkling) wines, and hot beverages, as well as a selection of spirits in the form of long drinks. The food menu offers classic appetizers such as bruschetta, prawns, bread with aioli, and burrata with braised cherry tomatoes. From salads and punch, the menu moves on to main courses, which include pasta in various styles, schnitzel, steak, and the Ruhr area classic, currywurst. Flammkuchen (a type of flatbread pizza), desserts, and cakes round out the culinary offerings at the Bootshaus in the ETUF.

The ambiance is characterized by the unique flair of a boathouse. The dining room and terrace were completely renovated and modernized before opening in 2019. In particular, the boathouse's outdoor area was opened up to the lake. And the windows in the dining room can be fully opened to the lake in summer, making it pleasant even in the height of summer.
