2nd International DRV Junior Regatta in Hamburg

The junior rowers from Baldeneysee and Essener Ruhrtal will compete this weekend (May 30 to June 1, 2025) at the 2nd International DRV Junior Regatta 2025 Hamburg in the Dove-Elbe water park in Hamburg-Allermöhe.

The abbreviation DRV stands for Deutscher Ruderverband e. V. (German Rowing Association). The races are an important preparation for the German Junior and Age Group Championships U17, U19 and U23, which will take place from June 19th to 22nd, 2025 this year due to the Renovation work on the regatta grandstand at Baldeneysee also to be held in Cologne-Fühlingen.

Those staying home and anyone else interested can follow the races via livestream. The broadcaster Sportdeutschland TV will be showing the international junior regatta in Hamburg on both Saturday, May 31, 2025, and Sunday, June 1, 2025. 1,000 rowers are expected in the Hanseatic city.

The following junior rowers are participating: Essen rowing clubs: Essen-Werden the Rowing Club (EWRC), Rowing Team TVK (TVK), Rowing Team Etuf (Etuf), Kettwig Rowing Society (KRG), Rowing Club at Baldeneysee (RaB). In the B-Junior class, the athletes compete in the blue and yellow racing suits across club lines for the Essen Rowing and Regatta Club (ERRV).
